With the effects of the global financial crisis still lingering and the release of the 991 only 18 months away at the time the 997 series 2 was sold in very low numbers in Australia. Regarded as one of the last true 911's before Porsche moved to the 991 platform which offered more everyday usability and increased production numbers.
The later build series 2 997's were equipped with a far more refined PDK gearbox and very minor mod cons such as touch screen navigation and bluetooth connectivity.
