EV infrastructure boost as Delta rolls out new DC fast chargers

Developed by the company that is already powering up Hobart Airport and Westmead Children's Hospital for EV's, the new 350kW chargin solution from Delta Electronics Australia (Delta) will bolster the options for third-party providers looking for a DC fast charger.

The High Power Charger 350kW is a cutting-edge DC setup that promises unprecedented convenience and efficiency for EV owners. Designed to meet the robust local demands on highways and in cities, it boasts a liquid cooling system and delivers an industry-leading 540A output.

In just 10 minutes, drivers can add 250 to 300km of range, making it ideal for long-distance travel and enhancing charger turnover at highway rest stops, urban charging hubs such as carparks and service stations, as well as fleet business back-to-base operations.

The Delta High Power Charger 350kW utilises advanced power modules to maximise efficiency and minimise installation space. It is equipped with a user-friendly 15-inch touchscreen, and IP55/NEMA 3R and IK10 protection, for robust user safety.

The charger supports Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) and network connectivity for seamless integration with payment and backend systems, enabling real-time monitoring and efficient maintenance. The unit is security certificated by the Open Charge Alliance.

Delta’s recent projects (as mentioned previously) include the fitment of two 100kW City Charger unites at Hobart Airport, and the installation of an entirely solar-backed charging solution for Westmead Children’s Hospital, where 75 Delta AC chargers were installed.
