2022 Nissan Z Review
Nissan has revealed the list of goodness that will be its new Z performance coupe, which is slated to hit the Australian market mid-2022. The replacement for the outgoing 370Z, this is definitely not a mild facelift.
Inside
The new Z has an instant retro look about it, a clear nod to the 240Z and 300ZX. Inside, it's the complete opposite, with a fresh, modern interior featuring a 12.3-inch TFT display for the driver and an 8.0-inch infotainment display.

Powertrain
Under the bonnet we get a look at the new 3.0-litre twin turbo V6, offering up 298kW and 474Nm, itself a significant increase on the previous model, largely thanks to those turbo chargers.
The new engine also has variable valve timing and launch control to maximise the use of the new ponies. It will come with a six-speed close ratio manual option or a nine-speed automatic.
Nissan tells us that all this grunt and tech will catapult the new model from 0-100km/h 15 per cent quicker than the out-going 370Z, at around 4.6 seconds.

Pricing
To be offered in a single spec here in Australia (unlike the US where there are two different options), the Nissan Z will start at $73,300 plus on-roads, making it cheaper than the rival entry level Toyota Supra.
On the plus side, we get the better version here, and along with that, the Japanese car maker will also introduce a premium launch edition in strictly limited numbers, known as the Z Proto Spec.
This model comes equipped with exclusive Ikazuchi Yellow paint and some stand out bronze forged alloy wheels. The paint is carried over to the brake callipers and the colour scheme continues inside the car for a bespoke custom and limited edition feel.
The Nissan Z is sure to send ripples through the sports car world as it lands in Australia and we look forward to seeing another Z on our roads. For further info, contact your local Nissan dealer. If you’d like to buy one, and need finance, visit Credit One.
