Everest Tremor to be Ford's off road king

Set to arrive early next year, the Ford Everest Tremor brings a rugged and capable option to the brand’s SUV family. Designed for adventurers seeking off-road dominance without compromising on towing capacity or on-road comfort, it's powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel producing 184kW and 600Nm.

Bilstein position-sensitive dampers, new springs, and General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tyres provide 26mm of additional ground clearance compared to the standard Everest, and brings additional go-anywhere ability.

Rock Crawl drive mode is unique within the Everest range and optimises traction and momentum on loose and rocky surfaces, while its rugged exterior design means a distinctive honeycomb grille design, with auxiliary LED lamps ramps up the look.

A steel bash plate, heavy-duty side steps, and Tremor badging create a bold presence, with the Everest maintaining its 3,500kg braked towing capacity. Inside, there’s embossed leather accented seats, ebony-coloured interior accents, and all-weather floor mats.

“The Everest Tremor answers the call from passionate adventurers who demand even more capability and ruggedness from their SUVs,” Ford Australia marketing manager Ambrose Henderson said.

“With its unique combination of off-road effectiveness, towing capacity, and premium features, the Everest Tremor is ready to tackle any adventure, on or off Australia’s various terrains.”

Adding to the package is a selectable drive mode system, the latest SYNC 4 infotainment platform, and Ford’s comprehensive suite of safety technologies. Set to be priced at $76,590 plus on-roads, customers can opt-in a range of accessories.

These include a Rough Terrain Pack, Touring Pack, Premium Seat Pack and a Towing Pack. It comes in just one colour, with the Everest Tremor offered exclusively in Command Grey. Production is expected to commence in November of this year.
