2014 ZWR80W TOYOTA VOXY 7 SEATER 2WD HYBRID V PEOPLE MOVER.

The Toyota VOXY Hybrid is a mid-size sport luxury people mover with space for 7 people and the economy of a 4 cylinder hybrid electric vehicle.

The VOXY Hybrid is available in 3 different spec/trim levels. The base model which is known as the Hybrid X, the high spec model known as Hybrid V and the sports variant which is known as the Hybrid ZS, which has a different body kit and alloy wheels compared to the other 2 variants.

This particular vehicle is the Hybrid V.

It is also the newest generation Voxy and is packed with more luxury and safety features than its predecessor, including technologies like Toyota’s Safety Sense system which incorporates safety systems such as Cruise Control with pre-collision warning & braking, lane departure alert & a high beam assist (automatic high beam).

This Hybrid Voxy is powered by the economical 1.8 Litre 2ZR-FXE 4 cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine and electric motor which is mated to a 1 speed e-CVT transmission which Toyota calls the ‘Hybrid Synergy Drive.’
This is the exact same system used on Toyota Prius Hybrid and is still used on the current model, as well as the current Toyota Corolla Hybrid.

The vehicle can switch between petrol and electric power whenever needed (also depending on the particular requirement at the time). The vehicle can also drive in pure electric vehicle mode (EV mode) for a few kms at a time. When the hybrid batteries require charging, the petrol engine will start up and recharge the onboard batteries.
