This particular Toyota Crown Hybrid is powered by the economical & powerful 3.5 Litre 8GR-FXS V6 Atkinson cycle petrol engine and electric motors which are mated to a 10 speed multi stage
hybrid system, which Toyota calls the ‘Hybrid Synergy Drive.’
This is the exact same system that is used on the Lexus LS/LC500h Hybrid models.
This latest version of the Crown is the 15th generation S220 series which was in production from 2018-2023.
The updated 3.5 Litre Crown Hybrid drops the Majesta name and is now available in RS Advance & G Executive variants, in RWD form only.
The other engine available on the updated Crown Hybrid is the 2.5 Litre A25A-FXS 4 cylinder engine with the choice of RWD & AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) variants
