Sullivan Kerr
223-225 Bay Road, Sandringham Victoria 3191

Sullivan Kerr may be the new operator within the Victorian automotive circuit, but the two names that make up the business have been synonymous with the Australian automotive industry for over the past two decades.

Revered and respected for their character, integrity, and commitment to excellence; founders Andrew Kerr, and brothers, Simon and Daniel Sullivan, have created a notable trademark of their surnames amongst their industry peers as a “first point of call” for product and market advice.

It is this common ground and mutual respect for one another that brought the dynamic trio together in 2016; and one night over pizza and a beer, the concept of Sullivan Kerr was born.

Seller's Comment

For sale is this stunning example of 1957 88” Land Rover Series I, equipped with a genuine 2litre petrol engine and presented in the iconic Bronze Green over light grey interior.

The car comes with an extensively detailed story that traces back to a past in remote WA before arriving in Perth in the 1980’s and getting an extensive overhaul, repaint and a crate engine from Belgium. The engine replacement story comes with a background of interesting facts listed by the owner and available with the vehicle.

In 1993 the car underwent an 8-months restoration, under the constant supervision of a life-long Land Rover technician which also serviced the car periodically until his retirement in 2016.

The car has been driven weekly until recently and is in perfect working order and ready to undergo an RWC inspection. Since 1993 the car has never been off road

The undercarriage was treated in 2014 to prevent corrosion and the wiring loom was serviced to ensure the functioning of all electrical services.

The bronze green paint presents excellent to the bystander, despite the car was never meant to be a “showroom queen” but rather be enjoyed on a regular basis.

All the panels are in great condition and the few little marks are mostly to be attributed to the light use in the last 30 years.

The seats are in like-new conditions and all the original dials are present and working.

The transmission and clutch work and have been adjusted in the past years to make driving more comfortable.

The engine has only done about 2500kms from new and works brilliantly, only needing some choke in very cold weather. There is a secondary 12v fuel pump installed to act as a backup to the main one, in case of necessity.

To preserve originality, the previous owner sourced special light truck tyres from China, to avoid installing radial tyres that would corrupt the originality of the vehicle.

No oil leaks have been detected and the cooling system works perfectly, keeping the temperature very stable.
