The Sports Coupé (CL203) was based on the successful W203 second-generation C-Class platform, and offered buyers a sporty alternative to the traditional sedans. Its two doors, large practical tailgate, stylish good looks and functional interior made it an instant hit, and it successfully introduced a whole new generation of younger buyers to the Mercedes-Benz marque. In 2008 the Sports Coupé formula was updated for the 2009 model year, with the badging changing to CLC along with various cosmetic improvements to the front and rear of the car.
This 2010 CLC200 Kompressor Evolution Edition Sports Coupé is finished in Tanzanite Blue with a two-tone black/grey Artico interior, the latter elegantly complemented by brushed aluminium interior trim. Delivered new in June 2010 by Sandersons Mercedes-Benz of Rushcutter's Bay, it has covered a low 103,654km and comes complete with the original books, manuals, service log book, (all in the Mercedes-Benz owner’s folder), 2 keys and it has had just the one owner who traded it back at Sanderson's Mercedes-Benz recently on a new car. This came on top of standard Electronic Stability Program and ABS, eight airbags, cruise control and speed limiter, factory Bluetooth phone capability, leather multi-function steering wheel, parking sensors front and rear, dual-zone air-conditioning, split-folding rear seats, electric folding exterior mirrors, rain-sensing wipers and more. This particular Evolution Edition also benefits from the factory fitment of the optional large panoramic electric tilt/slide glass sunroof. Powered by a 1.8L version of the famous “Kompressor” line of 4-cylinder supercharged engines, the CLC200 produces 135kW of power/250Nm of torque and drives through a 5-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels.
